Masterplan to revitalize 70-building research institution as a technology innovation hub
Considering Multiple Stakeholders
Large scale retivalization projects require the coordination of multiple stakeholders. In this project, we worked with AANL, university researchers, local businesses, and our investors to craft a masterplan that benefits all parties involved. With its designation as a National Science Laboratory, AANL has been chartered with setting the course for all of the sciences for the country. Researchers were interested in collaborating with the industry to get a wider variety of projects, and to be able to easily translate intellectual property (IP) into a start up. Businesses needed office space that encourages vibrancy and innovation, and would like to collaborate with researchers to strengthen each other through partnership, rather than contributing to the brain drain. Finally, Investors want to have access to entrepreneurs, innovators, and researchers, and through their work, gain access to national and regional markets. Through incubators and accelerators, they would be able to help startups incubate ideas, grow into viable businesses, and capture critical market share.
