Microsoft Futures Envisioning were a series of conceptual movie shorts developed for Microsoft Volume Studios and Microsoft Surface. The series - XUI Work, XUI Play and XUI Home - is a poetic exploration of how technology might integrate in- visibly in our daily lives.
The video series, focuses on the behavioral responses of tech- nologically enabled everyday objects. Where analog devices behave in extraordinary ways with the hidden aid of technology. The project was a head of its time in its speculation of the min- imalization of digital interfaces, and seamless and frictionless integration of technology into everyday life.
The collaboration explores the effects of technology across stakeholders, from the cause and effect of small gestural prompts on an urban scale via the digital cloud, to collaborative and construction processes of bespoke apparel design.
