Transforming technology-driven engineering teams into user-focused problem solvers
Rethinking Disability and Understanding Users
INVIVIA led the design method process, presented the case for, and created the initial pathway to bring inclusive design to Microsoft. Our research and recommendations on design methods culminated in a series of workshops focusing on approaches to increase awareness among engineering teams.
This project includes two parts. Part one illustrates who is excluded in the way we approach digital design and redefines our understanding of disability. Part two provides a toolkit for designing in a more inclusive and mindful way, which we propose has the potential to engender innovation and create an ecosystem of optimized products for the benefit of a wide range of ever-changing human needs.
